WHAT TO EXPECT
How to Prepare

Dress as you normal would to exercise.

Avoid wearing bulky accessories that restrict movement.

Avoid alcohol, drugs, and other substance on the day of your ARX and/or CAR.O.L session.

Avoid eating a big meal an hour before your ARX and/or CAR.O.L session.

You don't need to bring anything specific for your ARX and/or CAR.O.L session.
Outlining the ARX Experience

ARX sessions are about 15 minutes long.

Upon arrival, it will take about 5 minutes for our staff to get you settled and begin your session.

If it's your first session, the session will last a half hour. You'll have plenty of time to get acquainted to the ARX processes.

Our staff will guide you through 3-5 exercises. These exercises will depend on your goals.

You'll do 4-6 reps of each exercises with a few seconds of rest in between.

When your ARX session is finished, you'll be welcome to leave or enjoy another service.
Outlining the CAR.O.L Bike Experience

CAR.O.L Bike sessions are about 10 minutes long.

Upon arrival, you'll check in with our staff and then start you session.

During your session, you'll listen through headphones to the CAR.O.L Bike audio guidance.

Most of the session will prompt you to ride at a slow pace (beginning, middle, and end).

In between, you'll complete two 10 or 20 second sprints depending on your preference.

Your heart rate will be monitored throughout the entirety of the session.

When your session in complete, the audio guidance will signal the end of the session.

You'll come down off the CAR.O.L Bike. You are welcome to use our facilities, spend some time in the lounge, or enjoy another service.

How does ARX work?
ARX is strength training and body development using finely-tuned motors as the means of resistance instead of weights . These motors allow ARX to provide “adaptive resistance;” resistance applied to the user only in response to their own effort. ARX provides safe, controlled, immediate, infinite, and quantifiable resistance that is of a higher quality than is currently possible with the outdated, gravity-based systems found in gyms worldwide.

How do you set the resistance while using ARX?
There is no need to set the resistance while using ARX; the machine applies perfect resistance in direct proportion to what the user produces. It moves the handles or cables at the selected speed during regardless of how hard a user exerts. The difficulty is determined entirely by the user, whose effort is measured and displayed by the software in real time.

Is ARX safe for rehabilitation or post-rehabilitation exercise?
Yes! ARX is safe for all forms of rehabilitation. There are no weights to drop, the speed is manageable and controlled, and the machine can never act upon the user. This means that a user can never encounter any forces that they themselves did not first produce, and this never-excessive scenario dramatically lowers the risk of injury.

How often should one train on ARX?
Completely up to you! ARX can be used seven days per week, once per month, or anywhere in between depending on goals. ARX can be used in myriad rep/set schemes, varieties, intensities, and more—any protocol is possible. No matter your schedule, ARX allows you to develop your body more quickly, safely, efficiently, and quantifiably than any gravity-based system.

What about body composition goals? Can I add muscle mass?
Yep, it does that too! Muscle-building stimuli can be produced using weights, but with ARX’s adaptive resistance you can produce them in far greater magnitudes, far more safely, and far more quickly than with any weight.
