FLOTATION THERAPY
The main purpose of Flotation Therapy (sometimes also called Sensory Deprivation Therapy) is to support deep relaxation. It involves floating effortlessly in a spacious cabin filled with about 12 inches of Epsom salt-concentrated water. During Flotation Therapy, you’re able to relax deeply as a result of minimizing sensory stimuli (like noise and light) and experiencing the feeling of weightlessness. Flotation Therapy can also help you alleviate pain, experience a more meditative state, and improve your sleep and recovery.

Hands down the best facility I've ever been to and I've been floating all over the country since 2012.

I went in with muscle pain in my leg and left pain free after a one hour float.
HOW FLOTATION WORKS
Sensory deprivation works by reducing sensory input to the brain, such as sights, sounds, and physical sensations. This deprivation can be achieved through methods like Flotation Therapy.
When sensory input is reduced, the brain gets a rest from having to process so much external stimuli, allowing it to enter a state of deep relaxation and sensory rest. This can lead to enhanced mental focus, reduced stress and anxiety, and better sleep, better mood, and increased wellbeing.
Sensory deprivation can also trigger the brain to produce theta waves which are associated with deep relaxation, meditation, creativity, altered states of consciousness, and emotion healing.

Flotation Therapy is generally considered safe for anyone who DOES NOT have a seizure disorder (or high risk of fainting) or a severe mental health issue. You SHOULD NOT float is you recently dyed your hair (the dye is still running), got a tattoo (the skin isn't fully healed), or have a skin condition that would create a burning or painful sensation when submerged in water with a high Epsom salts (psoriasis, open wounds, ulcers, etc.). You CAN float if you're pregnant.
